The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center is among the leading training programs at Texas State University. The ALERRT Center is a part of the School of Criminal Justice in the College of Applied Arts and Science at Texas State, and we work closely with the Office of Research and Federal Relations. As of the Fall of 2018, the ALERRT Center had been awarded more than $72 million in state and federal grants to deliver this active shooter response training around the nation.

Additionally, we have received funding from many states, regions, and cities who have contributed their funds or DHS training funds for this vital training and adopted the ALERRT Standard for their responders. We are proud to have trained first responders in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. Additionally, we have delivered training internationally to places including Brazil, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Belgium, Tunisia and Australia. The ALERRT Center looks forward to continued delivery of this important and life-saving training around the world.
